It seems to me that the words “traitor” and “treason” are being used more and more when talking about modern politicians. But is that an accurate portrayal of what is going on?
Anyone who has been following the antics of our central government knows that the Constitution is more a quaint historical document than a restraint on government action. We have politicians openly admitting that the legislature is intentionally ignoring the Constitution when drafting bills. Branches of government relinquish constitutionally mandated powers to other branches of government, and even to semi-private organizations, such as the Federal Reserve.

Obama claimed that the packages “did apparently contain explosive material,” completely contradicting earlier reports which quoted authorities as saying that both the package found in the UK and the two found in the U.S. were all duds and contained no explosive material.

That motto describes more than the modus operandi of the world’s most ruthless and feared organization of professional assassins and espionage agents; it really describes the modus vivendi of an entire race. The concept of a race eternally at war with the rest of the world is alien to us. It is difficult to believe or even to grasp. When we examine such a concept and begin sifting the evidence it is easy to become confused. What’s More Important: Liberty Or The Entity That Protects It?

Let me ask readers a question. What’s more important: freedom and its undergirding principles, or the entity meant to protect it? A word of caution: be careful how you answer that question, because the way you answer marks your understanding (or lack thereof) of both freedom and the purpose of government.
Thomas Jefferson–and the rest of America’s founders–believed that freedom was the principal possession, because liberty is a divine–not human–gift. Listen to Jefferson:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men.” (Declaration of Independence)
Jefferson could not be clearer: America’s founders desired a land in which men might live in liberty. By declaring independence from the government of Great Britain (and instituting new government), Jefferson, et al., did not intend to erect an idol (government) that men would worship. They created a mechanism designed to protect that which they considered to be their most precious possession: liberty. In other words, the government they created by the Constitution of 1787 was not the object; freedom’s protection was the object.

Churches use shocking billboards to get attention
The Christian Post reports, “a megachurch in Southeast Michigan is making a lot of people uncomfortable with its new billboard campaign that proclaims that the church is for hypocrites, losers and liars.” NorthRidge Church’s pastor, Brad Powell, is quoted in the article, saying:
“As you do ministry, you start realizing there’s a false view outside of the church of what the church is – that it’s [full of] people who think they’re better than anyone else. And there’s a false view inside the church of people outside – that they’re bad… The reality is all human beings are the same. They’re flawed. We’re all the same inside [the church] and outside. We too are failures, losers, … hypocrites.”
So, nobody’s “bad” and nobody’s “better” – but we’re all hypocrites, losers and liars? Is that the NorthRidge message? Sounds like a social justice exercise of dialectic doubletalk designed to redistribute righteousness as needed so nobody is viewed as having any more than anyone else.

Since I began my literary and video criticism of Jewish supremacism in the mid-1980s, various attempts to discredit me have been made. Most human beings fear man, not God and His truth. They reflexively and emotionally think of their own self-interest first. Another consideration is that if FICA is based upon a percentage of your earnings, then the government has somehow been granted the right to know the amount of your income and the sources of your income – this is not a hallmark of freedom. In the past, rabbis who issued racist edicts or offensive remarks about Palestinians or non-Jews were generally dismissed as radicals and extremists who were no more than a trifling annoyance to be ignored in the hope that they would simply go away. In the current climate in Israel, extremist hate preaching has apparently become the norm and it is being embraced, not just on the extreme political right but also by a disturbing number of Israelis in general, be they preachers, politicians, settlers or simply ordinary citizens. Hate-filled Israelis have become emboldened over the years by the knowledge that they can say and do almost anything without fear, knowing that they will not be condemned or, if they are, that nothing will come of it. That is due to the widespread support for their views across Israeli society as well as their religious leaders and the political elite. What is particularly disturbing is that leading Israeli rabbis, who are meant to be the spiritual and moral guides of the Jewish people, are actually encouraging racism, physical violence and even the killing of Palestinians. |
